Thanks Brotha!! I'll let ya know.

Yes, all the heavy duty throw out bearing and ramp/ball parts are Baker, and come in a kit....

I got it on Ebay $71.95...https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...g+kit&_sacat=0

So I got everything back together, and the cable wasn't stretched after all...

I now know that there is a way to run out of cable adjustment without the cable being stretched. Apparently when I originally installed the cable, I didn't have the outer ramp pushed all the way back (disengaged) when I put the clutch release cover back on. When this happens, the only way to adjust the clutch is to back the adjustment screw way out and pick up all the slack in the cable with the cable adjuster.

I came to this conclusion after installing the new cable and having the same problem with it being to long. The clutch had been adjusted before the switch out, and the screw was backed out 1/2 turn from lightly seated, but I decided to check it again... The adjustment screw now needed to be turned in several turns before seating, with the clutch lever starting to move out after a couple of turns, (it didn't move at all before).

This time I made sure to have the ramp all the way back when installing the cover, the "how to" videos all say to do so (shoulda watched the 1st time), or you'll have problems adjusting the clutch, if you can at all!!

The install went fine, but I did need to file down the end of the connector on the Drag Specialties cable, it was to long and wouldn't allow the ramp to pivot into place. Everything is back to normal, and I now have plenty of adjustment at the cable adjuster!!

The 2nd pic shows the correct position of the ramp/cable when reinstalling the clutch release cover.

Well I've had time to put some miles on with the new set up...

There's not a huge difference in feel, but it definitely does engage/disengage the clutch quicker. I almost stalled it the first time taking off from a stop, I have to release the lever a little slower then with the stock set up, or it feels like I'm popping the clutch. It's like the friction zone is narrower, so everything just happens a little quicker. I got used to it in no time and it didn't take long to decide that I like it!!

I was a little worried because Baker says that the 18 degree ramps will increase the clutch pull "slightly", and wasn't sure if I would be ok with that... but the difference is minimal, and not an issue.

I think for the time and $$ this mod is well worth it. I like the feel, but the real advantage is in the new, larger "heavy duty" throw out bearing, and knowing the odds of it failing are almost zero! I'm already planning to do the this with my Rocker some time in the near future!!!

Sounds great! I'll look forward to seeing it done on your Rocker and the impression after that.

Hey I’m new to the forum just got a 14 breakout. Having trouble with bars. I am ordering some 16’s like yours and am confused which risers to order and what to do with the speedo and display. I’m looking to get very similar setup to what you have. It’s not letting me message you. Also where can I order that black hd dash???

Thank you! I'm using a CVO riser with a Dakota Digital speedo, and it's a Blackline dash that I changed from a glossy to mat finish.
