HD Badlander or Lepera Daytona seat??
Got to get a seat for my Fatboy. Thinking about the HD Badlander or the Lepera Daytona. I could stand to be a little closer to the bars. Any experiences with these two seats??
...+1, couldn't handle 20 minutes with the badlander. It became history very quickly.
Can't speak for the Badlander, but I had a LePera Daytona Sport on my old Sportster and found it very comfortable. It also provided some support to my extreme lower back and prevented me from sliding rearward. It had quality construction and nice leather, but not the gel option.
Seat comfort is very subjective. What works for one is not always good for another. Every seat has a break in period of 500-1000 miles before you can really tell how well it is going to work for you. I can ride all day on my Le Pera Barebones while other can't go 25 miles with one. At the same time I have tried seats with way more padding and found them to be even more uncomfortable. It's all about trial and error with seats and how much you ride. More riding means you get used to being in a seat.
I'm leaning toward the Daytona.....just looks like it'd be better. Appears to have better lower back support.

I've had DannyGray solo, Mustang Regal Duke, Saddleman Profiler, and the
LePara Daytona 2up/smooth.
By far the Mustang and the LePara are the best build quality. The Mustang
is the most comfortable. But I think it's goofy looking...LOL... Maybe just
me.
I think the LePara is the most durable build and good looking to boot. To me
it looks very good for a 2/up seat. It is by far my most favorite. Fairly
comfortable also.
The badlander seems very hard on the bikes I've ridden even though I have
never owned one. Was going to buy one from a friend, when he said "you
don't really want that thing, it's hard as hell after a few miles on it" so I
never got it from him...LOL...
No experiance with the regular Daytona here..
edit: the mustang pushed me too far forward, as I am very tall.
