Why is the mounting points at different heights?

UH,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Could be because the bike is not level or the mounting pegs are not set to the same adjustment.

One side has a greater lean angle than the other side.

Found myself staring at mine on my 14 heritage while riding and thought it was just a mirage lol. Mine are the same way.
