Ya can't go wrong with the Evo. Mine is a '99 Fatboy. 24,000 miles with no issues...........yet!
Good luck with the "new" bike.

Evolutions engines are great! I have had four of them with very fewproblems. Currently I am riding a lightly modified 1998 FXSTC (EV27 cam. Big Sucker air cleaner, Mikuni 42 carb, and Vance & Hines Big Radius exhausts) with nearly 50,000 trouble free miles.

I have a '97 Heritage S-Tail and love it. Put another 7000 miles on it last year......trouble free. Easy to upgrade with pipes and if you go slip-ons, not much than adjsuting the carb. These carbs are vanishing, but are awesome. I'm 10 minutes from Brian's and go by often. Not active in the local HOG Chapter but they do some great stuff and sponsor a lot of rides. Brian's is a good dealer, but you needto negotiate hard to get them off the list price............perhaps it's a bit easier with pre-owned. Ask for the young Dan Stiles (not the Dad)to help you and tell him Mitch T sent you........he knows me and perhaps will deal a little. Email me if I can be of any help.

50,000 miles on my 98 Heritage, and no issues. Original clutch. I beat it like a rented mule.
