What rear wheel to use with the Heartland EZ-D 200 kit
Hello!
Can anyone advice me what rear rim to put on my Heartland kit to fit a 200 mm tire? There is no room for a wider tire on my stock rim, even though I have converted it to chain drive. I talked to Heartland but they will not reveal the offset their expensive rims from Performance Machines has. Can anyone tell me what other rim will fit. Would a standard 18x5,5 softail rim fit a 200 tire on stock chain/belt/pulley/sprocket/caliper/disc? Does anyone know what offset the Performance Machine has on their rim to fit a 200 tire without any other modifications in the drive line or breaks?
Too much space with stock wheel.
Need a 200 tire <br/>

Hi there! I have converted to chain drive, and I can install spacers, I think max 1/4". But Heartland says 200 will fit with a special offset wheel, but they will not reveal how the wheel is set off. Only the type and price from Performance Machine, about $ 1300,-
Having never done this before, would a stock HD wheel from a 2007 and up work? They will take the wider tire. Maybe some trial and error with spacer would make it work to center the wheel and have clearance for the chain. I'll bet you could find a stock wheel on fleabay a lot cheaper or maybe a salvage yard.
The service I got from Heartland was good and they told me what rim to buy, but they will not tell me the exact measures on the rim in order to get a cheaper one than the Permformance Machine rim they sell. But I'm sure someone out there know what size and offset i need to fit a 200 mm tire without offsetting the primary or change sprocket and caliper
Can you get the 18x5.5 made for a deuce and just cut spacers and add sprockets spacers if needs be? I have no idea, just throwing out suggestions. I would think that if the belt is lined up correctly now and you have an even distance spacing between the fender and tire that an upgraded rim and axel spacers would do the trick
