Default Frenched Trim ring install..

Well.. im happy to say i found some bkack frenched trim rings to fit my softail deluxe
anyone looking for the same thing..you can get them from motorcyclestorehouse.nl and the price is fantastic, although i dont know about the quality till they arrive.. (50 quid for healamp and passing lamp rings)
i do have an installation question though; someone told me the frenched style rings have to be fitted over the existing stock trim rings, is this correct for a 2005 deluxe? And if so wont that cause a friction/wearing issue on the old chrome??
thanks fir any feedback

If you have the stock headlight the ring should replace the stock one. If you have the freight train nacelle the ring goes over the stock one.
