aftermarket audio Q
I have a 06 softail standard with a medium memphis shades windsheild on it and want to get some sound hooked up. Im not sure what a good system is my pipes are VH and are moderately loud. I also dont want it to look ridiculous. Anyone running sound and if so whats a good system?

To be honest, if you don't want to add a fairing it's almost not worth it. The handlebar systems and such just don't have the intestinal fortitude at speeds above around town riding. For the quality of sound you may just want to try a good set of earbuds through a music app on your phone. Cheaper and certainly looks better. Music on the bike didn't used to matter to me until I heard good sound on a bike, now there's no way I could settle for anything less than a full system.
With the smaller system all you will really get is vocals and some highs at speed. I'd rather have earbuds than that.

Yeh I dont really want to admit that but Ive seen videos and reviews youre probably right. I did want to add a batwing fairing with hard saddlebags and put speakers in the lids but then I would need a new exhaust, new tune, paint and hell it would probably look ridiculous at the end. I guess Ill save up for a street glide...
