Default Best 2 Speaker System ?

2009 Street Glide stock system as of now, I'm looking for recomendations for the best sounding 2 speaker system, i've searched and read a million threads but as things progress and new things come out i'm confused as hell at what to buy

i wanna hear music at highway speeds, seems AW's used to be the highest rated 2 speaker system, but then i read people wanting more voluume from them, i 'll take volume over bass even though i do like a full sound

i'll replace the head unit with one of the ones always recomended here, any amp speaker recomendations ? budget friendly would be great but i'll spend what i have to

I know these guys here can help they did great on my system. I have the Polk MM6502's (120 Bought on here ) in the fairing and a SS PN4-1000D (150 on amazon) with the BT355 (45 bought on here ) so for about 300 give or take I have a way better system than stock.

That's a great, budget friendly system there. IMO, can't get much better setup for $300. I personally like the Polk's over the Kappas. Not as loud, but warmer and fuller sound, to me anyways.

Again, all comes down to your end goal and what you want to spend. Think ahead and plan before just going out and buying shix. Better to do it right the first time (speaking from experience, lol).

I agree and the MM6502 will mount on the pods like stock with the hogtunes grills

There really is no "Best" two speaker system. They are all going to sound about the same @ 80 mph. Two 6.5 full range speakers and an amp. That's it. So the question becomes, What two speakers and what amp? Only goal here is SQ and loudness @ 80 MPH. The Kappa's and the CV B52 will do that. But so will the DB Moto's and the JL 280/4 bridged. Just depends on your budget. Better SQ with the JL set up. Loudness about the same. Your choice bro! These systems really don't get serious until you start adding more speakers and amps. The "Two Speaker" system is what it is.

Thank You Gann hows the moto's sound compared to say AD Designs ? everyone seems to move away from Kappas so i'd like to pick the right speakers and do the fairing just once

I like both speakers!! Can't go wrong with either speaker. The DB's have a little more mid bass and are loud as hell but I think the AD's have a little better SQ. Again, depends on what amp you match to the speakers. All speakers don't match well with all amps and vice versa!

I have the DD AW6.5/AT28 component set in my fairing. I push them with an Arc Moto 600.4 amp and Sony 70 MEX HU. I am adding more to it in the near future but, just that set up alone sounds fantastic! I got the DDs and the Arc Moto off of this site as some members change out their systems on a regular basis and got a good deal on them. Helped keep the price down
