Default 2017 Heritage Classic Exhaust

Just purchased the bike. I love everything about it - except the sound. The dealer is going to install slipons to remedy this issue. My last bike was a 2013 Street Bob and I loved how it sounded...stock. I like the iconic HD sound but dont care for overly loud pipes.

Anyone know which slipons would give me the Street Bob sound? Keeping in mind they are being installed by the dealer - free parts/labor, so it would have to be an HD product.

Thanks guys - any help is respected and appreciated.

Pretty much your only option from HD is street cannons. You do get to choose black or chrome and the endcaps...

They won’t be overly loud.

After hearing and seeing the street cannons, which as stated is your only choice... I went with V&H on my 17 HSTC.. True duals with fishtails..

I ran the HD Street Cannons up until 1000mi service. I then had the dealer install Rush Slip-ons with 1.75" baffles. Much better sounding then the street cannons.

Along with slip-ons did any of you upgrade the air flow kit and add the tuner? I was very depressed to hear about the EPA b.s. issue AFTER I bought my 2017 Softail Classic. Husband's 2015 Road Glide only required $500 for stage 1 upgrade...hence I am looking at any and every option to reduce the HEAT issue and find something that doesn't sound like a cross between a singer sewing machine and hoover vacuum on crack.

I agree! Dealer installed Street Cannons when I picked up new. Sounded better then stock but still now the Harley sound I was looking for. Installed Rush slip-on's and got the sound I was looking for! I flashed with the FP3 while I was at it. Performs much better now!

If the dealer is picking up the tab for the slipons you could cheap out with a KN air filter, if you dont mind the stock air box. Then just pick up a Power Vision from one of the vendors and tune it yourself.
