Fatboy 2010
Hey mi name is Martin, got my first harley. I have some questiones if you could help me. Ive bought this 2010 fatboy and i want to change a lot of accesories but i don't know what parts are "PLUG N PLAY" for this bike. Is there a way to KNOW that a piece goes for this bike without adaption just wrenching a bit? like a code or something like that? I need some info please.
So i want to install another air filter, open primary, tires, rims, handle bars, a suspension kit to lower the bike .... and a few more things.
Besides, a friend of mine has a problem. Same bike, fatboy 2010 and his bike started to have problem with start up. It makes a sound like if battery is dead , so he got one and some problem. Is the solenoid maybe? Is there some tutorial to repair ?
Thanks a lot !!!!

Hi and welcome to the forum. When researching parts for your bike, most manufacturers list which bikes a part is designed to fit. The HD website, J&P Cycles, etc... all have the option to plug in your bike info before you start your parts search.
Why an open primary? That will be a lot more work than a simple bolt on.
As for your friend and for you - you should always own the appropriate shop manual for your bike for basic maintenance and repairs.
