Default Heritage Softail classic - exhaust upgrade

I am looking to upgrade my exhaust on 2017 Heritage Classic. I am looking at slip-ons and I am looking for recommendations that will add more of the classic Harley sound to my bike. I appreciate any suggestions.

Man, there is so much to choose from. Spend some time outside the dealer or any place where Harley riders hang out and listen and then ask the rider of the ones you like what brand they have. Good luck.

They kept the stock look that I like but sound much better

Default Performance or Looks

Once you know why you want the slip on, make sure you know you only want looks/sound and not bothered about performance. If its performance you want, then that's a different story. Remember, a lot of the dual exhausts only run well below 80HP

I've only had my Heritage a very short time, the PO did Vance & Hines slip ons, I think they sound very good, not quite as snappy and loud as the V&H Big Shot Staggered I had on my Dyna but I like them just the same.

Well I can Just tell you what I went through, And hope you get something from it.. I bought my 2014 heritage and told the dealer to put on 3 inch V&H slip ons when I bought it. Great sound but a lot of decel popping. No performance gain. Did a stage one{air cleaner and tuner Fp3} Noticeable performance gain ,spins up very quickly, pulls strong all the way up and no decel pop. In short worth the money.
Then I was looking at true duals, I kinda knew It would take a performance hit . But since I had the FP3 It was no big deal to flash the bike again. The look is spot on and yes it does lose some low end torque But it worth it for the look of true duals. Hope this helps swifty

I have a 17 Heritage as well. I sent my slip ons off to American Custom exhaust. Unbelievable difference in the sound! Nice deep tone and they look stock.
