Are stock heritage classic saddlebags made of leather?
I bought a 03 heritage classic this year, and have been riding it every second I can. Its now in needing of a nice clean-up/polishing , I was going to get some armor-all protectant for the saddlebags as well but as im looking at it, I had no idea as to whether or not they are made of leather or some other material so I didnt know what one to buy since they have armor-all for leather and for vinyl/rubber/plastic.
Anyone know what stock bags are made of?

I've tried several types of leather cleaners, leather conditioners, and leather cleaner conditioners. The Harley conditioner works the best for me. The Armour All would be the last thing I would put on leather.
ORIGINAL: Still running
Harley conditioner, Thanks for the info. I know one thing not to use, Meguires Leather conditioner, turns white in the wrinkles.

Did you have a secret to get Mequires OFF the bags?

Lexol is good. Put some on a sponge and pronge down the bag generously. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, then wipe down with a rag. I use this stuff on a lot of stuff...

This is WITHOUT a doubt the BEST protection for ANY leather. It is called Sno-Seal. It is beeswax. You slop it on with your fingers and hit the leather with a blowdryer on med-high heat. You will see the leather literally suck up the beeswax in seconds. I rode in Maine and NY and EVERY piece of leather we had was protected with this stuff...boots, coats, etc. The only problem is it will darken leather like make brown/tan a dark brown, but black is black only richer. You won't be sorry.
