Default Spring Rate for 2 up with Ricors

There are plenty of threads that discuss spring rates and probably even more dedicated to Ricor Intiminator setups. I combed through all that I could find, as well as performing a Google search, but I can't find any info to answer my specific question so I thought I would pose this question to this group. I also considered posting it in the Suspension forum but I am really only interested in opinions and experiences of Softail owners , so I chose to post it here.

I have a 2011 FLSTSE2. I have Shotgun air going in the rear and I'm going with Ricor Intiminators and straight rate springs up front. The spring rate calculator recommends 1.043 based on my rider weight of 220 pounds. My questions are as follows...
  1. The recommended rate is right in the middle of the 1.0kg Race Tech spring and the 1.1kg Traxxion spring. Which one would, or have you, used and why? What were your results?
  2. I ride 2 up about 75% of the time. Does passenger weight factor in? I would think so but all the spring rate calcs I've seen only ask for rider weight. I assume this is because the passenger weight is directly over the rear wheel but I assume some of it is still transferred to the front fork under decel and braking.
Thanks in advance for sharing your insight and experience
