Default 2009 Night Train oil leak ??

I found some oil residue/ splashes on the right side of my bike today. It appears to be coming from my after market air breather, around the gasket area. It’s a minor drip, but the drip is splashing on the whole right side of my bike.

I have a screamin Eagle air breather.

Im not a mechanic but I’m gonna guess that it’s the air breather/ intake gasket.

What could be causing this oil leak ?
Is this a common issue with these bikes ?
Any feedback will help.

Cheers

As you say probably a problem with the gasket. I've had a NT for years with no oil leaks, although I've got an S&S tear drop type AC.

Does that intake route the breather vent tubes back in behind air cleaner? If it does, most likely it's oil mist from the crankcase ventilation system. One way to mitigate this effect is to have your oil level haflway between "Add" and "Full" on the dipstick. It could also be an indication of worn breather valve(s)

Cheers!
