Default high idle

I have a 2005 screamin eagle electra glide. I currently have a high idle about 2500-3000 rpms, usually 1000 rpm. I have seen several suggestions, but with all the different years and models not sure what info is good from my bike. Thank you in advance for any help.

First thing I’d try is cleaning the Idle Air Control Module (IAC). It should be accessible just behind the top of your intake/AC. Two small bolts to loosen. Should not have to remove AC cover to access. WD40...rag...compressed air in a can...bolt it back up. 5 minute job. Ton of vids on YouTube to show you were/what it is.

If cleaning doesn’t work and you confirm no intake leaks, next replace it. About $40.

hey there Thank you first off, so I went to remove the IAC but after removing the two bolts, resting on top of the right side is the "harness" for the throttle cables. I tried to see if it would move but with not luck, can't remove the IAC because of it. damn tight spaces. Any tips?
