Buy an FXR, you gotta make an effort on that bike.

I still grind the boards on my Lo even when I try not to. I just ride it like Driving Miss Daisy. Softails are for looking good anyway.

I would never lower a Softail, other than that, I just say let it drag, get used to it. I have a spare set of boards to put on later down the road. Just create an eBay search and let it notify you of that part number and get spare set cheap when it comes up.

"FIX"? what's wrong? Doesn't sound like anythings broken. My floorboards hinge . As long as I
I'm not dragging "hard parts" I'm happy. My dealer said , "I hear you're scraping- nice."
BTW, Beautiful bike.

Slow down a little?

A Deluxe is a cruiser, not a canyon carver. That said, I too scrape the boards on mine pretty frequently. Where I ride, pretty much all the roads have curves, so I've just grown accustomed to it. Keeps me from getting stupid.

Learn to lean your body more and the bike less.

True! Then all you need to worry about are your knees.

This. I did the tail of the Dragon last year at a fairly fast rate, on my Softail Slim S, and never dragged once. Adjust your riding style for the type of bike you are on.

Scraping pegs is a badge of honor.
These guys saying "change your body position" must look pretty bad *** hanging off of their upright bikes in corners.

My Breakout has nearly wore both pegs to the bolts.
When it gets to the bolts, replace and keep riding the **** out of that bike.

Happens with Deluxes. As already stated, they have hinged floorboards for that reason.

Default Thanks for all the replies.

I've been riding dirt bikes and Sportsters most of my life. I ride my Softail like my Sportster!
Thanks for the advice.
