Default Dragging footboards

I have an 08 Softail Deluxe and the floorboards drag if I lean too far in a turn (which isn't that far). Anybody know of a way to fix this?
Thanks
Kisoke

  • Set up for the corner
  • Pick a good line
  • Use better body positioning

In order of difficulty, easy to hard:

1. Learn good body positioning, and see what you have to change to get there. It makes an enormous difference.
2. Buy a different motorcycle.

Of your bike is lowered, return it to Stock height.

If it is stock height, put Heritage shocks on it. If I remember correctly, a Deluxe is lower than a Heritage.

If you have adjustability rear shocks, adjust the height to be higher.

Lastly, I find many people lean or try to lean their bikes over in a turn or curve much further than necessary. Adjust your riding technique and use your body weight to your advantage.

Pretty common on Softail's with floor boards... New springs and shocks will raise the whole bike.. Or forward controls...
