Default Riding Impressions - Finding the long way home

Just a bit about me and my past riding. Picked up my first bike in 1999, a Yamaha YZF600. Being in the Army, we had to take the MSF safety course and I highly recommend it for all riders. I even became an instructor when the opportunity presented itself. (did that for 10 years) Went through two more bikes over the years, a 2001 Ninja 750 and a 2006 GSX-R600. So fast forward to now I and started looking at new bikes. I knew I had to get away from the sportbikes and get on something more comfortable. So last Saturday (22 Sep) I picked up my first cruiser, a 2019 Heritage Classic 114 in Billiard White/Blue. I have to say I love this bike!! Took it out yesterday for a couple hours and was absolutely amazed with the handling, the comfort and the power.
The handling - this bike is so balanced its easy to forget you are on two wheels. Bumps, what bumps? The slow speed maneuvering is nothing short of exceptional.
Comfort - Oh man!! No numb hands, butt or feet!! I was disappointed when I got home and had to park it.
The POWER! - Torque monster!! I'm still in the break-in miles, but this thing has some grunt. Its easy to manage and I never felt like I was going to grab too much throttle.
My only complaint is some wind buffeting with my fullface helmet. Luckily I can ride with the shield cracked open and that minimizing the effect since the wind is coming from under my chin.

Now I have to find the long way home. Its the only reasonable thing to do with a bike like this.

Congrats on the new bike! I love my heritage. It always amazes me when I put 15 to 20 miles on the bike going to a store just 3 miles away.

They need to make a satnav with the route option "Long route (bikers only)"

I'm - "ride to work", 20 km... "ride home from work", 120 km.

This was me, the right hand route differed each day.

Awesome. Torque rocks, doesn't it?

Sorry about the buffeting. Lower fairings cured that on my old bike.

The HD shaka sign requires use of the middle finger, I think

Download BikeNav. It is a subscription based app, but they are giving away 1 year free to 500 people. I downloaded it last night and there were still 240 free slots left. Be sure to set a reminder for when it expires, because it auto renews when your free year is up.

Oh no! Not normal riding attire for me. Just the day I picked her up and needed to get her home.
