Default 2018 Softail Deluxe OEM Tires

Just got back from a ride. .. OEM Tires . .. cant wait until they wear .. they have zero traction. Thought at first "it just me" .. these tires suck big purple headed moose <put want ever you want here>

My opinion .. yours may differ .. but these are gone as soon as are borderline.

I’ve had no issue, BUT dry weather use only, which is all my Deluxe is likely to see. I’d be keen to keep the look if changing, Is there a WW alternative?

Yup...switched to Michelin Commander 2 at 10,000 miles on my ‘18 Heritage....night and day improvement. Wish I’d just chucked the stock Dunlop’s before I even took delivery. Best mod I’ve done for bike. Second best mod was Stage 2.

Mine will also only see good weather ... the WIng is the work horse.

But that day ... I was riding around the country roads .. I pull out my driveway and theres sweet stuff all around me ... I went around a corner where I needed to brake .. heard chirping of the rear tire. When I headed home .. made a usual turn ... same thing. I am going to ask my indy if he can adjust the pedal. Not sure if that can be done .. it might be to aggressive right now. Each of these events occurred while only a light foot on the rear brake .. so we will have to see.

In ref to replacements .. yeah . there are a few and I do want to keep the WWW .. as I mentioned before that was one of the things in combination with the spoke and paint that attracted me to the bike. I might try Shinkos next. Rode those on my VTX 1800 .. no probs for me. Heard that some others had issues with large bubbles .. but heard those stories on the Dunny Elites too.

Guess its gonna be hit and miss until I find something Im comfortable with.

Dang dude! Are you like Valentino Rossi on a softail?

I don't know what they're putting on the new bikes these days. I put on the newer Dunlop Elite tires to replace the 402s. I likes me wide whites!
No problems draggin' the footboards on some turns, but I'm not an aggressive rider either

Ummm .. maybe a little spirited Mike.. but the problem isnt with grip while running the twists ... its with grip when braking ...
