Yes life is good down under here, i have been riding and have now 3000 kms on my FXLR, weather has been kind Jeff, why did you not choose the Harley street slammer bars they look cool on our model bike , But also your mitred apes look really good are you happy with your riding position now mate,What did the forward controls set you back ?are they Harley, so many questions sorry bout that Keep Safe Bro
Yo Mark weather getting good here, gonna be sunny and 80's all weekend. I was torn between the Street Slammers and mini-apes. I like the looks of the Street Slammers but after spending time at the dealer sitting on bikes with lower apes I just liked the feel of them better. Those along with the forward controls and I'm all set. They are Harley, list price is $499 but I ordered them through Surdyke and paid $411 and change. Install wasn't bad once I figured out the combination to get the bolt off the forward shift lever that's buried down between the primary and engine case. Took me about 3 hours, if I was to do it again I could probably cut that in half.

Ride safe buddy!

On my bars I put on a 37" upper clutch cable and 42" Magnum brake line. Depending on who you talk to the clutch cable is 2" or 4" over stock, brake line is definitely 2" over stock. Wiring was good as is, no need to extend anything.

Long story on that stock clutch cable length. Let me just say that if you watch John Maxwell's video's on YouTube even he got hosed up trying to determine the stock length. Even after talking to Harley Support. If you don't watch 'em, he's a Harley tech at a dealership in Georgia. In addition to being funny, his video's are good and taught me a lot.

When you started this thread I had installed a track style (tracker) bar and 5" pull back risers which I thought was the "it" bar. My nephew also has a Low Rider, he wanted a taller bar and to be different I suggested to him to get the Street Slammer. I liked my bars but when he brought his bike over for me to see the Street Slammers I sat on and rode his bike and they were a perfect fit for me. Better wrist angle, a little taller, 2" closer to the rider and hid the wires better, just a very clean look.
Here's recent pics but I have since moved the clutch cable behind the bar for a cleaner look. The clutch cable actually fits through the opening in the top triple tree where the wires go. Thanks for starting this thread and getting my attention about the Harley bars, and again allowing me to post more pictures.

Yer killin' me with those pic's. Maybe this winter..... Did you have to pull the connectors to pull the wires? With the 2 90 degree angles on mine I did. Here's another pic I took today while out riding.

Just the turn signal plugs, those wires go through a separate hole.
