Default 2008 heritage with high miles

I have a chance to pick up a 2008 Heritage with 56k on it for $4500.
is that a good price?
What should I be worried about with the mileage ?

I wouldn't consider 56K as "high miles" for a 2008 but rather average miles.
At 56K that's only about 5K per year which is what I would expect.

I'd look over the bike very well to make sure it hasn't been laid down or wrecked.
If you're really concerned you could have a mechanic go over it.

The trade-in value is around $6K and the average retail is around $8K.
At $4,500 I'd say that's a good deal.

Cool Flooded ...

beware of any flood damage...alot where flooded on the east coast and here in the 2016 flood (deep south) ...heard alot of them were sold by insurance companies ...pull seat and look for any corrosion in wire connections ...etc..,salvage title??
unless you know it's the original owner.

My son pulled the trigger on it. Ended up at $5100 with two new tires installed and a new lepera solo seat.

I’d consider that a pretty solid deal.

If an insurance company owns the bike, that would mean it was totaled, and would now have a salvage title...

I would consider any motorcycle that has been damaged in flood to be scrap...

Two owner bike with a clean title . My son bought it from an H-D dealer . The second owner bought it in 2016 with 28k on it from another dealer. It doesn’t have any signs of being down.

If I needed a bike at a good price, I would make that deal all day long.

That is the anniversary model - - - Love the color, it also has a few extras, such as security... You got a very good deal.

Enjoy.
