whats up yall so i have a 2017 deluxe. i had ordered a 21mammoth spoke from american classic motors. got the wheel, installed it and heard noise from what sounded like the rotor. i got the complete set. rim tire and rotor. took it around the block thinking maybe the rotor just has to be broken in. couldnt figure it out.. so on my way home .. abs light comes on . stopped turned around. noise was still going. put her on the lift, and realized the calliper was hitting the rim!! never seen that before! when i ordered the rim i specifically told them the year make and model and that i needed the abs. im assuming they sent the wrong rim and no abs! ive never heard or seen the rim hitting the calliper before.. any thoughts or input? im emailing the company right now. but just figured id pick some brains also .
you may have to mess with the spacing for the wheel. i have oem wheels from another year bike installed and had to re-space it. I am not so sure about the ABS part, if the wheel is larger in diameter then the toner ring could be off making the bike think the front wheel is turning slower than the rear. it maybe a calibration thing.
Not sure I fully understand where the caliber is touching the wheel.
but my thought: if the caliber is positioned with the brake disc between the pads, it should only have so much play to either side. And I would think this should NOT allow the caliber to touch any part of the rim. If it does, maybe a brake disc spacer can help?
but again, not sure what the caliber is rubbing against exactly.
best, niv

gotcha! yeah im gona have to look into the spacing issue. i just thought from the company as they put in the details, saying ready to bolt on and go with my style and year bike. and yeah is there a way to get that ABS adjusted so it registers properly and the light goes off?

thanks for the reply! so yeah when the caliper is bolted back on the wheel.. on the back side of the caliper closest to the rim is where its hitting. so the spokes, as the wheel is turning is hitting the caliper. but yeah gona look into the spacing issues and hope for the best. thanks again!
