Default Fuel vent issue

Hey there everyone so I have a2014 softail deluxe and the fuel vent hose under the bike got cut and I checked it out and the bike has two under the frame of the bike are these needed or do I need to hit the Harley dealer for some parts

You probably have a bike with CA emissions.....

49 states bikes have a single vent line for the fuel tank, that vents to the atmosphere near the rear of the bike.

CA emissions bikes have four vent lines. The fuel tank vent lines run from the tank, to a purge valve, then to a Carbon canister, and then usually to the intake...

The 49 states bikes are much simpler...



While it would be easy to change over to a 49 states vent line... I suspect the ECM on a CA bike might throw a code if you removed the canister & purge valve....
