Default Hot, Hot, Heat?

Hi all,

I'm being gradually pulled to the dark-side. I have a question if anyone can help.
Seriously considering a Softail Custom. I'm wondering, my daily commute to work consists of a lot of stop-and-go traffic especially in hot weather. How would the Softail Custom hold up in those conditions? Is there the possibility of leaving me stranded? Any insight, stories or advice greatly appreciated.

My apologies in advance for the newbie question.
Ride on, [sm=type.gif]

-Mark.

I don't think it would leave you stranded... but it will be hot. You can cool it down by changing the pipes and air flow and using a syn. oil.

They make a parade fan for harleys that blow air on the motor if it overheats on you. They also make oil coolers that i recommend if you sit in traffic alot. You will tell if it overheats by the motor going in its cooling cycle my fireing everyother time it revolves. It is made to do that so the motor produces less heat.

It should be fine.
