Ok, so it's a scam. How does a scam like that work? I'm not about to fork over money for a non-existent bike. What gives?

They will look for someone who is not local to where the bike is being sold. And for a immediate deposit, they will hold the bike for you.

Naturally, once you wire the deposit, your money and bike disappear.

They prey on the fact that people will buy into the "It's too good to be true". And the "I've got 10 people in already interested...first one to get the cash wins"

I saw this same bike as well.
Thought it was either a scam or a typo.

OK, so let's say I bite. How would they defend themselves from my lawsuit? Both bikes are being offered by a dealership, so it's not like they can just disappear.

No, it`s not a dealership..but as we can see, some people are gullible enough to believe this crap.

Wake up, it`s a scam.

Lawsuit? Be serious, your money and the guy who stole it will disappear into thin air.

But hey, don`t listen to us, what say you shoot them some money and let us know how the new bike is?

"Lighten up, Frances!"

I'm not about to send them money; I'm asking how he can get money from me if he doesn't exist or the bike doesn't exist. And I'm not about to wire money to someone for a bike I've never seen. What kind of fool does that? Excuse me for not understanding how they can get money from me.

Many of these are just a phishing scam - collecting email addresses, and phone numbers from you.
