Default SCREAMIN EAGLE AIR CLEANER

Hello guys,

I'm looking at purchasing Screaming Eagle Stage I kit for my Deluxe 2006. The H-D on-line catalogue says 29773-02Cis the right partno. Recently I sawsome maybeold stock itemsoffered on eBay - correctname, but with partno29441-99. Does anybody know the difference ? Would the old 29441-99 fit on my bike ?

Thanks and Regards,
Daniel.

Hello dburian! Nice to chat, but dont buy the HARLEY filters, just not well made and my bike came with one and IChit-Canned mine and bought the K&N instead, they sale them at the Stealers, only on high side, I think mine was $60.00 for my 06 Fat Boy 103, and if you do not plan on riding in the rain, Chit-Can the back plate that is behind your foot ball air box, lets in more air but if you get in rain it could get wet, but its your bike and I'm just giving you my penny on the whole set up, I do not want the hyper-chargers to flame me but I heard they are not worth the price you have to pay for one, thats if you want to get a after market air-box, I think some companys sell a kit version for your type HARLEY and the K&N cames with it, so your money and bike, do what YOU like! GOOD LUCK!!! PURPLE HAZE.

I just talked to someone who told me that the new Screaming Eagle filters are now paper, not washable K&N style. I had a Hypercharger on my sporty and it worked great, but it hit me in the knee. I'll never buy one again. I think I amgoing to go with the Arlen Ness Big Sucker this tiime around, I can still use the stock cover but get much better flow, plus it's the same price as the Screaming Eagle one.

Not sure about the part number, but wanted to be sure you're aware that the backplate is available in chrome, as well as black? If I knew that at the time I bought my kit, I would have just ordered the back plate and bought a K&N filter by itself.

there are a few threads on here about the blue HD filters falling apart and causing issues. go with a KN, it is very reputable and lasts forever

Yes they do. I have 06 C.V.O. 103 Fat Boy and I changed filter first week I bought it. You could go to K&N web site and order one, or J&P CYCLES may carry one, or pay the big bucks and buy one from HARLEY DEALER. PURPLE HAZE.

look for athread on here call something like "poormans stage 1". It has the part numbers for each indivivdual piece of the Stage 1 kit. This would allow you to buy whichever filter you want. The KN part number is HD0800. It is about 36 dollars at autozone. They have to special order it for you. Just ask at the counter for help.
