If there is, probably not much. I guess it would depend on if there was a chrome cover over it like some of them have, because that would block air from entering the filter. The Screamin' Eagle and the Wimmer are probably really close to the same. Wimmer also makes a rain cover for the filter that doesn't effect the performance at all. I have the cover and have been thankful I had it after getting caught in a storm. I also rode without the cover on it and man did my bike run like $#!+. So if you go to that style filter, make sure you get some kind of rain cover for it. I highly recommend it. So as far as the Wimmer peforming as well or the same as other companies, it all depends on how much air is able to make it in. Wimmer also has other styles of filters and some of them allow more air to enter than others.

I liked the Squatty also, but the longer filter looked better witht the lines of the of the Deuce. It gave a more stretched appearance. I'm gonna wind up getting a new filter since the one I have is blue and my new bike is black, but I'll probably stick with the same style because I was happy with the performance.

The 07 dosent stand for the years it fits. Some parts will end in 04 and so on. There were some frame changes in 06 but the Induction parts/ Backing Plates are the same 88 or 96,It'll fit

when i look in teh HD parts manual and it says the part fits 01-06 as an example, i wonder if that fits an 07. i have just noticed that alot of the parts i am looking for do not have a part number that fits an 07, only up to 06 according to the description. i am not good enough yet to try to understand what the individual numbers in the PN stand for at this point

A lot of the aftermarket stuff for an '06 will fit an '07. The makers won't admit to that until they get a chance to try it themselves*. As for the HD part numbers, the dash number simply indicates the year the part was first used and has nothing to do with what it will fit or can easily be made to fit. A really good example is the -65A generator. If you want to "update" to 12 volts, it will fit pretty much all Panheads by reworking the boltholes in the engine case and changing the drive gear.

* If you live near enough to a maker of aftermarket parts and have the time, many will give you a good discount (occasionally 100%!) if you let them test fit their stuff on your bike.

what i found out today is that a lot of the pipe ssets I was looking at are not available for the 07 bikes because of the O2 sensor changes. Until the pipe manufacturers modify the pipes, there is nothing that can be done. this is what a couple local dealers told me.
