why is it that most of the parts i want to buy only have part numbers that go up to 2006? will most of those parts work on 07s? I am referring to intakes for the most part (can't find a forcewinder for an 07 fxstb), but I have noticed it with a few different parts.
Crock,
Take a look at the Wimmer air cleaners or the Screamin' Eagle one if you like the forward facing/cone style. I'm putting the Wimmer that's on my old Deuce (see sig pic) on my Custom. They should work on the '07s. I know the Wimmer will fit on my '08.
Yeah. You can get different color filters also. You can see closer picture of the Wimmer on the Deuce in my gallery. Take a look at the Wimmer website to see the other color filters. They also have different styles of aircleaners.
There is. I had the V&H Big Shot Staggards and a Harley Stage 1 kit on it for a while, and then at Myrtle Beach Bike Week this year I put the Wimmer air cleaner on it. I had it Dyno tuned before, but when I added the Wimmer, I was running on the lean side because I was sucking in more air. I had it Dyno tuned again and I wound up gaining torque and horsepower. I loved it. That's why it's coming off the Deuce and going on my new bike. I told the salesman I dealt with I would give them the regular Stage 1 stuff I had so I could keep the Wimmer.
