I am going to say aftermarket due to the placement of the "Harley Davidson" script. The picture of the FXR is factory, HD would have re-used that location. They like them centered with the front up just a touch. Your location does not look like a factory job from over here. Good luck figuring it out.

Hi,
I've heard that during the 90s Harley runned a so called Custom Paint program where customers would ask Harley to paint it with some colours they had choose
and I think also they were supplying for a decal to be painted in it. Am supposed to own one of those, but first I'd like to check if this is true or not and where I can find more details
on this program?
thanks
I am unaware of any program from Harley-Davidson, where you would select the colors, the emblem, and then they would custom paint the bike for you.
I suspect your bike is a custom paint job by either a dealer or a paint shop.
Harley had a custom paint program, but it was called their "Color Shop". It was in the annual "Parts & Accessories" catalogs. It contained several sets of tins (tanks, front fender, & rear fender) that had a custom paint theme, available for various models. They only made a certain number of the paint sets, and there were numbered. The colors vailable changed every year. If you had one of these, we could look it up in the proper year Parts & Accessories catalog.
NOTE:
I just now noticed the other paint options from Harley that eighteight included in post #2.... I stand corrected...

Post a pic of your bike, include year and model
I`m reading the `01 P&A catalog , it states:
" Radical Custom Collection" These were numbered sets with custom graphics
" Select Custom Series" These were a limited selection of optional colors but not numbered
"Spectrum Custom Paint" Mix and match colors and pinstripes on your metal or buy replacements . Makes no mention of choosing decals
I recall earlier that you could order "some" optional colors from the factory when ordering a new bike to avoid having 2 sets of sheet metal
I was unaware of the "Select Custom Series", the "Spectrum Custom Paint" or the ability get custom paint..... All these years and I never heard of those..
I guess it's because my color tastes were always black or silver....
I learned something new today... Thanks...
