Default Windshield hardware.

Want to install windshield but says I need additional hardware. Part number is 91800025 which consists of a few bolts and gaskets. Everything I’ve found is at least $50. Does anyone have the dimensions of the parts so I can just go to hardware store. Thanks

I like to stick with OEM parts. $50 is pretty reasonable. The pieces in that docking kit are something you won't find in any hardware store. If you're a machinist you could turn some out on a lathe but what's your time worth, really? Just pay the man.

It helps to post your year and model bike. Ideally put it in your signature to avoid having to provide this information over and over.
Several years ago when I did my 2002 Fat Boy I bought HD hardware for the motorcycle side of things. I got an HD windshield, included brackets and rubber grommets reasonably priced on eBay. Ace Hardware is often a good source if you need chrome spacers/bolts/nuts/washers, etc.

My suggestion would be wait until you need a fastener, then buy a couple extra, or get a 10-pak to have spares. Over time you will have a good assortment of the ones you use most in the work you do on your bike.

The reason I suggest this is because the sizes are not only various, but the types are even more diverse... ie: 1/4-20 screws in 1", 5/8" & 3/4" lengths are abundant, but then there are also hex heads, torx head, allen heads to consider.

If you try to multiply the sizes, by lengths, by head types you would have to maintain a very large assortment to have spares for most projects. Plus, everybody does different "work" to their bikes. If you never change cams, then spare cam plate screws are kind of useless... OK, maybe that's abad example as they are used everywhere, but I was trying to make a point

Just on the 1st page of a 24 page HD Hardware list there are 9 different screw sizes, in 18 different lengths, with 10 different head types.

But if you want to start a collection, I would say go through the online parts finder looking at parts and pieces you my fix/change on your own. The write down soem of those hardware sizes and get those in your storage.

Good luck with your project..
