I put Wild One Chubby 550 on my 98 Fatboy and liked them so much I put them on my 06 Road King Custom. They are very comfortable to me.

ORIGINAL: FACTION95

I picked up the Harley Beach Bars (56856-05) at lunch today from the Stealer. I'm going to hit another dealer that usually has parts in stock for the cables tonight. I'm going to use my stock Fatboy risers which are 2.5" tall and are for 1.25" bars. The Harley Beach Bars are 1.25" all the way through.

Anyone have any suggestions for cable length I should get? +1 +2 ?
If I recall correctly those will fit with stock cables, I know I have stock+2 but this was because they did not had stock length steel braided, so I had to go for the stock+2, but if you look up for that part number (bars) you will find in the HD parts catalog the exact lenght you need.

Regards.

Getting the Beach Bars installed today. It should be quite an appearance change from the 16" apes.

As well as a completely different ride... What a huge difference between riding position/posture. I guess from one extreme to the other. I'll bet that wasn't a decision taken lightly.

I went with Cycle Smith Knuckle 1 1/4" Knuckle bar. It is 1" in the riser area so I was able to keep my stock risers. Nice & wide, but not pulled back like a beach bar, so I can still effectively counter steer. Very comforable.

I got the Harley Beach Bars installed today. I don't think they pull back as much as the Wild1 bars. They are 1.25" all the way through. They are comfortable so far from a 30 minute ride on the freeway. The clutch cable is too long. Supposedly its the stock length. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that.
