Default Passenger boards?

I have a 2006 FLST. Would like to get passenger boards for my wife. What other quality options are there other than HD products? The HD floorboard kit is very expensive. $399 for the chrome board kit. Thanks.

They are costly, but they were worth it (to me) formy wife's comfort and security. Sorry I can't help with lower-cost alternatives, but I'm sure if there are any options someone here will let you know.

I've also been looking for passenger floorboards for my Heritage. The $400 price on the HD models has me doing some shopping to see if there is a better deal. So far I think theKuryakn pegs pictured below come pretty close, but I've not seen them in person yet. Maybe someone on the forum hasa set and will comment.

These list for $199 and they are street price of $179 at spots like realhog.com.

Kuryakn suggests that you use the Anti-Rotation Passenger Footrest Mounts (below) on a Softail. It is designed to fit onto the clevis mount but also fit over the swingarm pivot bolt so that it does not twist. The weight of the floorboard and passenger apparantly can cause the underlying mount to twist, so they anchor to the mount and pivot bolt for more support.

The MSRP on the mounts is $120 but it is $108 at several online retailers.

May be used on Deuce, Fat Boy, and Deluxe if stock shotgun exhaust and rear exhaust support bracket has been removed and replaced by a staggered dual or 2-1 exhaust system.

I put a set like these on the bike of my bike and my wife likes them alot better than the pegs.

One of the things I liked about this style was the adjustability. There are two pivot points and the board slides forward or backward at the mount. I got mine off ebay about a year ago.

I was going to suggest ebay as well - if you get the kit for cheap, you can get the covers you like.

Custom Chrome Floorboards around $50-60 from J&P or on ebay. They aren't quite as nice but function the same. And you don't feel as bad when you grind them in the corners. My wife loves them.

These ones aren't much cheaper, but seem a lot more versatile.

Ditto. Why do people not check Ebay. I have purchased all my HD accessories on Ebay for pennies on the dollar.

If you decided to not go with boards, and went with pegs instead, the HD chrome and rubber raised bar and creasted shield are good. My wife likes them because they are about 2 1/2" wide X 3 1/2" long and cost about $60.00. And they look good.
