Question....when registering a motorcycle, does the bike need to be present?

Thanks,
Tim

Not sure if its the same for bikes as it is for cars, but if you're registering a car in that state of Florida that is currently registered out of state then it has to be present. I'm going to assume that it is the same for bikes. When you register someone at the tax office comes out and does as quick inspection of the vehicle. If the vehicle was bought in the state of florida then no.

I don't believe so. They will want some kind of verification of the vin #, old regestration, insurance cardor abill of sale should do the trick.

I hope you're right...I'm gettin' orders for Maryland next summer and I really don't want to have to bring the bike all the way down to FL to get it tagged. I'll give them a call later on today.

Thanks, Geek!

Thanks again! I see I can just get my boss to verify the VIN on a memorandum. Cool!

Thanks,
Tim
