EZ Brake Install
What year/model bike is it?
On the 07's and quite afew other years the pedal is held on with a screw on the pivot bar. The master cylinder is connected to it with a clevis pin that held in place with a cotter pin.
Removing the cotter pin, and the clevis pin disconnects the master cylinder from the pedal and pulling out the screw should let the pedal slid off its bushings to the right (sideways).

I put mine on and went to Lowes and got a small c-clamp. I believe I put a socket on one end of the pin opposite from side you will push on.Then pushed on the other with the c-clamp end that "screws" and held the socket over the other end with opposite end of c-clamp. Socket gives a place for pin to go while you force the pin from other side out.Once you "break" the pin loose it comes right out.
I have aa 06 Softail Deluxe. I just got the pin removed. It was the clevis pin that was the problem. It is a pressed fit at the factory and very, very hard to remove from the clevis. I finally had to pry it out with a hammer and chisel. What a joke. Now trying to get it back in is my next challenge.
Harley sure likes to make it hard for the weekend mechanic.
Thanks for responding.

E-Z Brake is a great product! Can't understand why HD doesn't make it standard equipment. No more lifting the leg and swaying down the highway at speed to apply the brake quickly.
