Default New rim installation

I"m looking to replace the stock rear rim on my 2006 Standardwitha PM Torque or a RC Components Vega.Mainthoughs is about wheel spaceing, and 2nd, the Vega is 1/4" wider than stock 6". Have these issues posed any problems to any of the do-it -yourselfers out there?

Yes, the tolerances are extremely tight with the 6.25 rim
My wheels were dealer mounted, so I can't help you there.
The belt actually rubs the tire while rolling backwards, but the way the wheel is positioned, there is no rubbing forward. My dealer says that this issue pops up with the Dunlop D407 200x55x17 because it's so wide on a 6.25. The side tolerances are hair tight..
I got to tell you thatthe rear tirelooks HUGE on this rim..[sm=gobble.gif]

Well, if you go with PM's, tell them what kind of bike you have and they provide the spacers to you.

Cool...I ordered brake discs and a pulley to match my PMs. Should be here in a couple of weeks.

Rob,
Make sure you replace your brake pads with a Kevlar based compound like Lyndell Z pads.
Kevlar will not score the $hit out of your new rotors, and won't blow brake dust everywhere like the stock pads..
