Default mounting question

Ok,

VH FuelPak mounting. Put mine in tonight and set the connector and the fuelpak right on top of the battery. The seat went on without too much trouble, but I was wondering something. If the seat is sitting on it, can you hurt it when you sit on the seat? I am sure there have been tighter places that they have been installed, but I am just wondering, don't want heat from the battery or my *** sitting on it hurting it.

It's a tight fit for sure. I put mine off to the right side (bike's right) of the two connectors which are wound up on top of the fuse box. The fuse box didn't move down very easily, and the instructions made it seem like there should be tons of room if you do manage to push it down, which I couldn't really do, so I had to improvise.

I kept checking it because I thought I was putting pressure on it as well, but it doesn't seem to have any problem at all. Plus, it seems like a pretty sturdy little device, and those connectors are pretty beefy plastic as well. I doubt it have a problem from you sitting on it.

How does it run ? Smooth acceleration, no surging, no excessive popping on decel ? Did it seem to work out for you ?

Hey Xaran,

Not sure yet, it is raining like hell here so I won't be able to ride until Sunday, but I will let you know how it does. Startup and all seemed fine, but you can't tell much there.
