I am new to the forum, but long time rider. I have ordered a 2008 Sunglo Red Rocker C with an ETA of 06/06. Reading the posted messages about relocating the license plate holder, I have a question for the group. In Texas, we also have an inspection plate that fits under the license plate holder. Does anyone else have an inspection plate and your ideas on relocating with the license plate??
Yup, TX has an inspection law...no big deal ranging from "you made it here and stopped before you hit the garage so you pass" to a careful look at lights/horn/tires/maybe a short ride to test brakes. Most places have a small aluminum plate drilled to match plate holes and unless you want side mount that is easiest. I would not put on any painted/chrome surface as the adhesive is pretty tough stuff. Seems like not much attention is given to inspections unless you are stopped for some other infraction...then it is just another easy ticket for the LEO to write to better make your day. Other states may be more demanding and look for them even if you are by some chance riding within all laws on a quiet bike....
