Ok, here is the deal. When I bought this bike recently, it had a Badlander seat that was wore out. My wife wanted a seat she would be halfway comfortable on. So, I found this seat off an 02 Softail. It was only used to get the bike to his house and he put a solo seat on, so basicly it is brand new. But, this seat is hard as heck. It actually is uncomfortable for me. Do these seats need break in periods??? Or should I just look for another one? Ideas?

seats dont need break-in but your but does. My stock seat was hard but i got used to it until i tried a mustang.

 

Had the same issue with the wife and had the same seat you do....It really SUX. It was killing me... So I put my solo seat back on and got here this rear seat that she loves, very soft and cushy for her tushy as she would say. dont be discouraged by the suction cups... It does not move and when you are riding 1 up it takes 2 sec to change.
