Default Stock exhaust cross bones

Has anyone swapped out their exhaust on their cross bones? I am looking for some slip ons or complete systems to put some rumble in the bike.

I went with V&H short shots staggered. THey sound real nice and have an awsome rumble to them as well. I also went with a Screaming Eagle Air intake and Power CommanderIII. Bike runs awsome

The salesman persuaded me that S&S slip ons with a K&N filter and Power Commander was the way to go.

Should have stuck to my original preference for black Vance & Hines Big Radius. Undecided about an outside air cleaner.

So any kind of exhaust for the softail 2007 or better will pretty much work with our bikes?

I put Vance and Hines duals with Fish Tail ends on mine. Guess I made the right call, it's always got a crowd around it. (hope the photo comes through, new member with a new laptop!)

Budmeister,

I love the look of the V&H true duals with Fishtails. I am seriously considering them for my X Bones. How do they sound, I would like something slightly more throaty than the factory exhaust? Also did you install a tuner and upgraded air cleaner (SEII)? thanks!

I had the pipes put on at the dealer, so I got the whole ball of wax, engine re-chipped and tuned, Hi-flow air and the sound, nothin but a big ole grin on my puss every time I fire her up. They sound great. It ran about $1550 for the treatment, but I'm happy with the results. Glad you liked it, thanks.

BTL,

Did you do and aircleaner or tuner upgrade with the Rush 1.75" slip on's. How do you like the sound compared to stock? thanks
