Years ago, Fram made good filters and was a well-respected brand name. Now however, they are one of the worst filters available. Baldwin, K&N, and Amsoil are much better choices. Even the Screamin' Eagle filters are pretty good.

Never cared for the quality of fram filters. Not the best filtering element although they may have changed or upgraded their quality. I've used K&N, HD and mobil.

I would stick with HD filters. Those filters were made for your bike.

HD filters are from the lowest bidder.
The K&N have the nut so it is easy to install and remove. I did use the fram but the K&N seems to be made better.

There are a few really good filters around, but Fram would be the LAST one I'd use...

Has any one tried Drag Specialties Chrome Long Magnetic Ring Oil Filter? It was thinking the extra oil capacity would not hurt either.

I am going to use the Amsoil line since I know they work well. Also the oil is great stuff lessens the vibrations on my sport bike and runs and revs smoother as well. Anyone use Amsoil Oil in there HD’s?
