Default wheel spacer sizes

actually an easy question with probably an easier answer...I have an 1984 fxst ,and I had put a 84-99 fatboy front wheel on it ....well It is now bent and I got a free 16 flh wheel with sealed bearings ..I just need to know how to center this sucker and measure for the spacers..God 20 year mechanic and im to burnt to get it right ...should I measure fork leg to rim or what?I just gotta get back on the road cuz Im losing my mind ..

thanx in advance for the help ..

use PVC pipe as mock up spacers (easy to cut) to center the wheel...
then get rotor spacers to move the brake disc to fit caliper.
