Default SERT What do they cost??

I am considering my options and was wondering how much a SERT cost at the dealer, also is there an hourly rate to tune your bike with it? I am considering a SE air cleaner and Rush ship ons (2")

I am new to this so I greatly appreciate your comments.

I believe they are about 459ish but hurry cause dealers are running out and the are going to a "protuner" wich is gonna up the price by atleast $100. sert marries to your vin so it will only be good on your bike. I think most dealers are charging 2-3 hours for the tune.

I just bought a SERT on ebay for $ 350.00 and that included shipping.

I am taking it in tomorrow for a Dyno tune and I was quoted $300.00 or less. $75.00 per hour and he tells me not more than 4 hours.

My dealer had them for $599 installed, taxes and dyno time. I am putting on exhaust on my '08 ?Deluxe, but not until July or August...don't have the bucks yet. Anyway, I wanted to get the SERT before they were no longer available and had to pay the increased price (if they are more money...heard they were and heard they weren't...). When I went into the Dealer yesterday for the 1,000K service I asked if I could buy one, pay for it, and do the tune/dyno when I could put on the exhaust...that would save me 2 hours in the shop @$83 per when I brought it back...was told they had none left. Ran into the parts manager while waiting for my ride home, and he said that he had gotten a few more as their last shipment and hadn't put them in the computer yet...to make a long story short, not only did I get the tuner, but the shop didn't charge me up front for the rest of the work...$395 for the SERT, and 2 hours when I bring it and the exhaust back in July or August.

As a side note, the Parts Mgr told me the "Super-Tuner" is the replacement chip, and it does more, and it doesn't cost much more, but the screens the Techs have to work through have all changed and it'll take them time to learn them...another reason I'm glad I got the SERT...don't want to pay for someone to learn how to analyze program screens on my dollar...
