Thanks for all the info fellas, I've made my decision on the windshield; it'll be the standard height model, my neighbor has one on his bike and he let me try it for size. It's about an inch under eye level.

Oldgeezer, I bookmarked the site you provided. Those bags look like a good idea, I can save my back and add storage space at the same time. Thanks again.

Great forum, good folks-----much appreciated.

Hey Oldcorps, Most of our local bike shops sell Lazy Riders including the Harley house. They are normally sold at most rallies. Like I mentioned, there are a couple of different sizes so you'd be well suited to try the different ones prior to buying one.

The seat I have on my Night Train is the BAR Industries Hitchhiker Plain. It's awesome. It has a built-in lumbar support, high back, I have Millenium foam on the driver's portion. It sits lower than the stock seat (it's even lower than the stock Badlander that came on my Train). It also looks pretty old-school on a Softail (IMHO). Check out my sig pic and gallery. I have been able to ride for hours without any back fatigue whatsoever.

The company are great to deal with and the seat exceeded my expectations!

Cheers!

If after a while you decide that windshield is still to tall for you, check out the DIY section, there is a thread on how to cut it down. It works great, I just did it to my brand new, stock windshield.

Oldcorps-

I too can vouch for the Mustang seats. Just put one on my FXST, the Sport Solo w/removable driver backrest. The backrest is adjustableas well.
As for the barrel bag, I have a Biker's Friend bag, size medium. Check them out at: www.bikersfriend.com

Appreciate that info, but it turns out a friend, who is over in Daytona this week, called me about a deal on a new Corbin seat, so I had him pick it up for me. He'll be home tomorrow so that's like free two day shipping on top of the discount.

BTW, I found a new Harley windshield on ebay that retails for 400 and I picked it up for 250---so far, so good.

The Corbin I just ordered looks very similar to yours in style and shape, I can't think of the name of it now but it's the one with the flip up back rest for the passenger.

I've heard nothing but praise for the Mustang seats, trouble is they won't have one for my 06 FXST till sometime in June this year, I expect to have a few thousand miles on my bike by then.
