Detachable backrest
Yes this is great info, thanks abunch guys. One last thing, I have looked online trying to find the quick release but to no avail. Is the catalog only available in book form? Does anyone know of a web-site that sells them? Thanks

Same here. There have been a few times I didn't think I was ever going to get the sissy bar off. The length of the key makes it hard to get to the lock on my sissy bar. I tend to leave it unlocked most of the time. Even unlocked it is a challenge most times I take it off.
I took it off this morning fairly easily. When I went to put the sissy bar back on the lock had spun around and I clicked the unlocked side in place, before I realized it. This put it in a jam making it difficult to open so I could pick up the bar enough to spin the lock to the right position.

I just got it for my deluxe...works great...easy on, easy off!! The same part fits the heritage I believe...Part# 53618-05
You will also need the docking hardware...that part# 53932-03 is what I got but, that only applies If you Don't have saddlebags!!

Ditto that. I have one too and the wife loves it. The bucket style backrest is comfortable.
