Rocker C Questions
Hi Guys!! New here, and I am thinking about picking up a Rocker C here in the near future (probably going to place an order for a new one) and I have several questions. One I know I can do the 103CC option. Is the cost worth it?? Also I like to do long road trips what is the comfort like? I know I need to ride one for a while but just looking for others opinions. And finally while on trips I would like to be able to talk to my father (has a 06 ultra classic screamin eagle) via CB and the other guys we ride with. Do I have the ability to install a CB on this bike? If not how could I go about communication?
Thanks so much guys!!!

There are a few Rocker C owners that have enjoyed the ride of the bike on long trips. IMHO - The Rocker C is not a touring bike and really not built for that level of comfort. It does ride nice on short trips and around the city, but absolutely no protection offered by the HD windshield.
yeah I completely understand. Not into the long haul bike trips might do one or 2 a year over 5 hours but short fun trips with the group would be more frequent hence the need for bike to bike communication
It can handle that pretty easy. My suggestions for communications would be something like Chatterbox that attachs to your helmet. I did that for a short time when I rode an 883 with a touring group. I ended up trading the bike after 10 months for a touring bike.
Are you saying that I shouldn't waste my money on the Rocker standard height windshield?
I know that when I've ridden it, I'm glad that the windshield on my Street Bob keeps the wind out of my face.
So, to sum things up, it helps a bit, but it's not like having a shield on another bike. The Rocker is what it is, it's more of a chopper...so it's going to be windy whether you like it or not.
We really haven't been able to find anything in the way of a taller, more effective windshield so...
Actually, the only windshield available for the Rocker is a "sport" model which is "low profile". Not worth the $370

I have the taller of the two windshields on mine. I tested them both out on the bike at the dealership before purchase and went for the taller. It does help a bit with the wind but nothing like a touring shield. It keeps stuff out of my face but I get alot of wind buffet on my body.
I wouldn't call the Rocker a touring bike, I just ride mine around town. The longest distance I have put on it is 80 miles in one day. That was enough. I kept my touring bike and have the Rocker just for fun.

yeah, Like I said I might do one or 2 long trips. I'm looking for something that is fun now and in 5 years or so I will get the touring bike.
As for the communication, is there anything besides going out and getting a small portable CB radio to use? I like the option I was given above but they don't have CB channels. by father and his friend have CB's on there bikes and would rather get a CB that way they don't have to carry another radio

I have a Rocker C and while I would not call it a touring bike by any stretch I have done several medium distance rides of 3 hours ( each way ) and have enjoyed it. I do have a Road King for longer rides or for weekenders where I need carrying capacity. I think the Rocker would be fine. As far as the 103 kit - all I can say is DO IT MAN !! I did the stage 2 103IN kit and the bike flat out hauls a**. Very responsive and a blast to ride.
I can't answer the CB question, when we ride we either use hand signals, pull over to talk or just yell our heads off.
