Going to bet that you where right and what you saw was something fabricated. Can't find anything in my search that sounds like it

The stock positions when I bought the bike where geared for toe only. I've readjusted everything and now it's heel only.

There must be a way of making it BOTH!
After trying to force myself to use the rear shifter I found that it was just easier to up and down shift with the toe shifter. The rear shifter has become my neutral finder! Ater down shifting to first coming to a complete stop I take my heal and do a qick pop on the rear shifter to put it in neutral. Once you get the hang of it you will never use your toe shifter to find neutral again.

I love heel/toe shifting, can't live without it. When I first tried it, it was weird, after a week or 2, doing just fine. It is much easier to find neutral.

I lowered my stock rear and us it as a heal stop and in the winter i switch to toe/heal shifting. only have to raise the heal 1 inch then i keep the shifter down untill the next upshift. do it is down toe, down heal, up down heal, up down heal and so on.
