What exactly is a PCIII

T-max is not the greatest either. There are people that love it and people that will tell you they could never get it to work right on their bike. You still need a base map loaded into the T-Max for the auto tune to work correctly.

I think it is the best alternative to the $600 SERT Super Tuner (plus $300) dyno tune. I have a canned map with some ignition map mods on mine. It runs well, but I know the dyno tune will make it better. They are a pain in the *** to install on a Fat Boy, but do-able. I think the best alternative is not having anything attached to the ECM. i.e. the SERT. For me I had a hard time justifying the extra $300. The PCIII software is easy to use. Downloading maps is very easy (helps if you have a notebook computer). If you do get a SERT, the dealer may not be the best alternative for the dyno tune. It does not have to be dyno'd at the dealer.

My power commander was use and $200. my dyno tune was $280. If I ever change the pipes it will cost me another $320 for another dyno tune. I had a canned map and the dyno tune took out all the flat spots and the popping and makes the engine cool enough to touch. I installed the pclll where the alarm would have gone in front of the mud flap. It was easy to install and the hole was already there for the cable.
