Ok I just got my PC setup in my garage, and the software installed, But when I connect
everything up, I get no data in the map area, with Ign on and start acctivated (Not running)
The RPM, Fuel, throttle change will display when running, (I asume is is supposed to),
the Power Commander has not been firmware updated for extended rev and start fuel.
Why isn't it displaying the current map? Has the Stealer disabled the PC3?
Should I get this upgraded? I'm using the new download from PC...
Has anyone had this problem? or and am I just missing something?????
Turn the bike off, and attach the 9v power adapter to power up the PCIIIusb. Then open up the PC software on your computer, and you will be able to change or work with the map installed on the PCIIIusb.
Not sure why it works that way............but it does.
With it running select GET map. I should display the currently loaded map. You can go to to OPEN map and see all them maps in your laptop. You can then select one and change it. Then SEND map to the PCIII. Play with it some.
If you have popping on deceleration you can add 20's to the first column at 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000. If it still does it you may have to go up to 30's in the first column(0 throttle position).
Don't forget to SAVE changes you made. You can call the altered map anything you want.
You will hear this a thousand times. Find a certified dynojet tunner and have it dyno tuned. I only paid $150 for mine. I would not take it to Harley to be tuned. They cost way to much and will keep it for days.
