Default Power Commander V

Okay so heres the deal. Im confused... You get 2 diff maps.. One from the compamy that makes it(Powercommander). Then you get one from the Fuel moto. Both are diff. Now here is the Million dollar question. Which one is right an which one should you use....

well if ya buy it from fuelmoto " Jamie". Tell him what your mods are pipes, air filter etc and he enters a map and sends you the set up. Then there's the auto tune feature and bla bla bla or get it dyno tuned later. Bunch of threads on the subject

Go to powercommander.com and download the map that most closely resembles what you have. THEN you have to download the map to the PC via USB cable. You must first install the PC software on a laptop (makes sense as it's most portable).

Don't rely on what someone gives you. Make sure it's the right one. it doesn't cost a dime to do that.

I ran the one from Fuel Moto at first and it was way to lean. I now am running one from the PC site and runs much better.

On my quad the one from Fuel Moto ran better than the PC one so just try them both.

Jamie's map works better than PC's for me,I compared the maps on my desktop and J's was a richer in fuel.

Mine from FM was way too rich. Once on the dyno a bunch of fuel had to be removed.

Of course they are going to be different. maps from powercommander are going to be generalized and light settings. Fuelmoto maps will be somewhat tweaked.

just got my pc v. Are there any instructions hidden on the cd besides the 2 page flyer on adding/removing fuel to a range of RPM's?

seems like a whole lot of ability but they don't tell you how to use it (e.g. when to retard ignition, etc.)

I'm going with a forum members map but I'm sure I'll need to dial out some exhaust issues.
