Question on Battery Tender connection

Try starting the bike if your wondering, I'll bet it starts right up, no problems.
I doubt you did any harm, its really a lot harder to screw up an ECM than most people are led to believe. Yes you can screw one up if your really ham handed and make lots of sparks putting the battery wires on. Just think of it this way. Everytime the battery terminal 'sparks' means the power is 'shocking' the system and a large number of sparks means your really giving the circuits a hard time.

The only reason you will get a spark when connecting or disconnecting battery cables, or things such as a battery tender, is if you do it in the wrong order.........
Always connect the positive side first....then the ground........
When disconnecting.......remove the ground side first, then the positive.........If you do it in this order you will not create a large enough spark to do any damage..........
